Hi Liz, thanks for a fantastic week, really enjoyed all the rides (thighs are a bit tender today!). Lovely to meet you and ride with you.
I just wanted to say thank you for an amazing couple of days last week. It looks like the boys had a fab time after we left. I really enjoyed it. We briefly discussed coaching…what plans do you offer?
Just landed, had an awesome trip! Thanks for guiding us around the island – here’s to the next time!
It was such a great pleasure meeting Liz King of Tri Spirit Events! Without any hesitation, if you are considering a triathlon coach or a cycling guide, pick Liz. Her experience in triathlons and her bike racing accomplishments are the gifts she is willing to share.
She is considerably one of the best cycling guides I have had the pleasure to meet. Her knowledge of the roads and her care for the safety of the riders with her is simply the best! Liz is an expert guide and will certainly – with kindness – help you get the most out of a ride, swim, run training, etc, and have fun all along the way!
This was our second year of hiring Liz King as our Majorca cycling guide and, once again, we had a fabulous week! Liz is very friendly and approachable and knows the Island like the back of her hand, including the best café stops! She is a very experienced cyclist in her own right with many Ironman races under her belt.
We are a group of cyclists with mixed strengths and abilities and so were not keen on joining the larger established cycling groups as these tend to be split according to speed/fitness and be very rigid in terms of route options etc.
Liz is happy to accommodate us as a group and ensures that we are all catered for in relation to choices of route length and difficulty over the week. She is very flexible and is happy to change the day’s route plans as required. She is also very safety conscious and ensures everyone is clear on potential hazards ahead and is happy to provide coaching on, for example, safe descending.
Liz is always very patient and attentive, constantly checking that we are all OK and whether anyone is struggling. As a result, no-one feels pressurised or embarrassed if they are having an off day – which happens to us all!
Thanks again Liz, roll on 2019!!
Liz has been our lead cycle guide in Mallorca for two consecutive years for our annual week pilgrimage to Pollença to tone our cycle legs before the UK summer…We really ‘lucked out’ when we found her.
We are a small mixed group of friends that cycle together- some serious triathletes and cyclists and marathon runners and some less so enthusiastic riders! – but none of us wanted to have the responsibility to map read or make lunch and coffee stop decisions. Liz knows the island so well, every ride was well planned, including a mixture of flat and challenging hill climbs- but mixed brilliantly with picturesque views, great descents, bustling lunches and some great coffee stops.
With safety always at the core, each rider being reminded of your responsibility of your front wheel in a group, riding in pairs unless we needed to single out, always waiting for all of the group, pacing the day well, encouraging new skills for descents and for switch backs- supporting tired and weak riders where necessary-Liz even knew the quality of the road surfaces, as she had already done her reconnaissance! Also, first class for making route decisions with safety in mind, traffic, conditions, wind and weather – there is no aspect that Liz doesn’t manage as our guide/leader.
She very quickly became a part of our cycling group, so much so that we couldn’t imagine not having her the following year and we have already secured our 2019 dates with her- as we know that other groups will soon catch on to the gem of a service she delivers! Liz simply makes the holiday- we have fun, we cycle, we see a lot of the Island, we all make achievements during the week with aspects our cycling, distance, speed, climbs- whatever they might be.
Liz has joined us for our final meal at the end of our holiday on both occasions and we have formed a really good friendship, with many of us following her fitness challenges during the year too! I’m delighted to have had two years cycling with Liz in Mallorca and hope to be much fitter for our 2019 visit to have even more fun! Every success Liz!
