Proud to be working with RBLI
Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) is an award-winning charity first established in 1919 to help soldiers returning from the Great War, especially those suffering with TB, to recover and gain new skills.
RBLI has always provided crucial, practical support, and initially opened a new factory making wooden toys to give recuperating soldiers secure and rewarding employment. This facility has grown – on the same site in Aylesford – to become Britain’s Bravest Manufacturing Company, where more than 70% are ex-service personnel, have a disability, or both.
Now 100 years on from its launch, RBLI’s social enterprise is an industry leader, becoming among many other things, the UK’s fastest growing sign manufacturer. But in addition to offering employment, RBLI also offers housing and wrap-around welfare support for veterans, their dependents and their families.
RBLI mission: To improve lives every day supporting the Armed Forces Community and people with disabilities.
As part of the celebrations for its centenary year, RBLI is offering its first ever mass participation event, the RBLI Zenith24, to help raise vital funds to continue helping veterans and their families for another 100 years. Tri Spirit Events is delighted and honoured to be working with RBLI to offer this event to runners of all abilities, as we believe wholeheartedly in the work RBLI does to help those in need. It is a charity that prefers actions over words, and in providing practical help over simply giving out money to solve a problem.
We hope you will feel as proud as we do to be a part of this event, and to help us support our Armed Forces personnel in the best way possible.
