Volunteering

Our team of marshals help out at event after event but if you want to just help once then please come along. A little help goes a long way.
Free Gear
Free entry into one of our events either sprint triathlon, sprint duathlon or run event. We will also provide you with a crew t-shirt plus free goodies and refreshments for your help.
Marshalling Roles
These roles can vary depending of what type of event we are putting on.
For example:
Course set-up team - Help put out signage, directional arrows etc.
Car park steward - Direct competitors, spectators and officials to correct parking area.
Registration team - Direct competitors to the registraion area. Check them in, check British Triathlon membership card or hand a day licence out. Then collect goody bag.
Secure Baggage Area - Competitors hand kit bag into secure area, this is locked while event is taking place. Hand bags back to competitor at the end making sure their event number is the same.
Transition area - Check bike - brakes work, cycle helmet fits and fastens correctly. Check bike has sticker which corresponds to competitors number. Direct competitor to correct bike rack. Only officials and competitors allowed in this area.
Drink station team - Have drinks ready on table and hand out as the competitor passes.
Swim course marshals (Shore based) - Help assist competitors exit the water.
Bike course marshals - Located at key positions on the cycle route. Only apply if you have previous expericence for this position, thank you.
Run course marshals - Make sure competitors are on the right route
Finish line medal team - Hand out event medal to finishers.
Chip Removal - Remove timing chip and place in box.
Course clear-up team - Help with clearing course of signage.
Venue clear-up team - Help with clearing up venue.
If you feel you have talents that would help in any of these areas, please get in touch. You do not need to be experienced, you do not even have to know how multisport events work, we will show you the ropes, and above all we’ll try to ensure you have a great time. Thank you.
